Record Sleeve
Grading Code
The
picture sleeve grading code is a means by which to gauge the quality
of the record sleeves that may be purchased from this site.
We've tried to price the record sleeves according to how much of a
distraction a defect is. Normally the best picture sleeve is
displayed in all duplicate offerings. In most cases, the
"hit" side is shown, but not always. Keep in mind
sometimes the scanner can make a "nice" record sleeve look
horrible and a "rough" one look fine. We want
everybody to be happy with his or her purchase and come back often.
Here
are the grading codes we use throughout the site:
Perfect.
Crease.
Staple or thumbtack holes.
Frayed edge. Normally the top.
Price sticker/rubber stamp/tape.

Ink/felt writing.
Glue residue.
Pencil hole with no paper missing or Promotional punch hole.
Water damage/stain/mold.
Tear/hole in front/back or both with no paper missing.
